Marsh marigolds bloom on the shores of Hancock Lake just below the Continental Divide in Chafee County, Colordao. This lake is an access point for the continental divide trail. This image required multiple blended images to properly expose the shadows, as well as focus stacking to get crisp marsh marigolds in the foreground. Trying to pull off a blended image like this without a tripod is not advisable--trust me, I've tried!
